Core Promise:
The Hero’s Journey helps you frame the next four weeks of your life as a clear, manageable story: a Quest you’re on, a Dragon you’re facing, and a Treasure you’re moving toward. Instead of juggling vague goals, you’ll work with one focused narrative and a simple map, so you can take aligned action and see how your choices shape the story you’re living.
How the Hero’s Journey Works
Step 1 – Define Your Quest
You’ll start by using the Hero’s Journey Mind Map to name one core Quest for the next four weeks.
You’ll clarify:
-
What you’re moving toward (your “Treasure”)
-
What challenge, fear, or pattern stands in the way (your “Dragon”)
-
One simple Bold Move you’re willing to experiment with
-
A rough outline of how the next four weeks might unfold
Why it Matters: Defining a Quest (SMART Goal) gives your energy a direction. Instead of trying to “improve everything,” you focus on one meaningful storyline and let the rest be supporting characters.
Step 2 – Live the Middle of the Story
Over the next four weeks, you’ll use simple daily or weekly prompts (on paper or in Notion) to track what actually happens as you move through your Quest. Each week has a slightly different flavor—starting out, meeting resistance, navigating turning points, and finding your way through. You’ll note small actions, inner shifts, and any plot twists that show up.
Why it Matters: Paying attention to the “middle” of your story helps you see your own courage, patterns, and progress in real time. It becomes easier to notice what supports you and what pulls you off track.
Step 3 – Capture the Story & Choose What’s Next
At the end of the four weeks, you’ll look back over your mind map and notes:
What changed? What did you learn about yourself? What felt like a win, even if it was small?
You’ll write a short 4-week memoir-style reflection and decide whether you want to:
-
Continue the same Quest for another cycle
-
Choose a new Quest
-
Expand into a longer journey using 28- or 365-day tools
Why it Matters: Turning your experience into a story helps you integrate it. Instead of a blur of busy weeks, you have a clear arc you can point to—something you can build on, revise, or revisit as you grow.
