Not the background as in something unimportant.

The opposite.

I want to pay attention to the things that usually remain unnoticed: the extras, the setting, the weather, the room, the landscape, the circumstances surrounding the scene.

The things happening behind the obvious story.

Because without the background, there is no story.

A character standing alone on an empty stage tells us very little.

But place that character in a dimly lit kitchen at midnight, with rain tapping against the windows and a half-written letter on the table, and suddenly we begin to understand.

The setting changes the meaning.

The weather changes the mood.

The people in the background change the choices being made. The details we might otherwise overlook become the context that makes the story comprehensible.

There is no story without the background.

This is what I want to explore during this waxing gibbous phase of my lunar cycle.

My 4-Week Lunar Cycle Purpose is The Stage.

As Shakespeare wrote, all the world’s a stage…

But what if I have been thinking too much about the performance?

What if I have been caught up watching the characters, the dialogue, the conflict, the hero, the villain, the ordeal? What if the stage itself has been influencing the entire production?

Through my Quantum MeMoir practice, I am working to understand the performance of humanity differently.

Not simply by asking:

What is my role?

But:

What is happening around me?

• What is influencing the scene?

• What is quietly shaping the story?

• What has been present all along, but remained in the background?

I want to experiment with this…

To play with it. To observe it. To notice the environment. And perhaps this is especially timely because I am “Approaching the Ordeal” in the Heroine’s 4- Week Journey.

The point where I eventually meet the dragon... or the shadow. Or whatever appears to stand between me and the thing I have chosen to pursue.

On my Quantum MeMoir note pages, I have a place for these types of Challenges, Shadows, or Blocks.

But as I looked at my purpose for this seven-day cycle, I realized something unexpected. I cannot currently identify a challenge between me and my commitment.

There is no obvious obstacle. No known dragon waiting in the bushes. No innate block that I can see. And that realization made me think about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

Perhaps I have reached a place in my life where I am no longer primarily struggling against the bottom of the pyramid.

I am not focused on finding food.

• Shelter

• Safety

• Basic survival

• Companionship

I have the opportunity to think about something else. To pursue something else…

To ask:

What do I want to create with this life?

And when the basic struggles are no longer occupying the entire stage, a different kind of challenge emerges.

The unknown…

The things I cannot prepare for.

The block I do not know is coming.

• The weather

• The mood

• The interruption

• The person who enters the scene

The thing in the background that suddenly becomes part of the story.

So my challenge is not to prepare for the specific obstacle I already know will appear. Because I don’t know what it will be.

My challenge is to prepare myself to respond well to whatever appears.

To remain observant. Flexible. Resourceful. Present. To recognize that the thing I initially perceive as an interruption may actually be part of the story… a bridge.

Maybe the unexpected thing is not taking me away from the quest. Maybe it is the background of the quest.

The background will change.

The weather will change.

The extras will enter and leave.

The scene will shift.

And I will have to respond.

My purpose for this seven-day cycle: BACKGROUND

So for the next seven days, I am going to watch the background.

I want to see what I usually overlook.

The details that seem irrelevant.

The things that influence the scene without announcing themselves.

The context surrounding the story.

Because maybe the background is the invisible force that makes the story possible. And maybe the next dragon I meet will not be waiting in front of me. Maybe it will be something I notice happening quietly around me.

I will observe The Stage.

• The extras

• The setting

• The weather

• The circumstances

The things that shape the story before the characters even realize they are in one.

And I will see what happens when I stop treating the background as scenery...
and start recognizing it as part of the plot.

I could say that I found it through the ordinary machinery of the internet. An algorithm placed it in front of me. I clicked. I listened. I recognized ideas I had encountered before.

That would all be true.

But it would not fully describe the experience.

The video arrived while I was deeply immersed in the language of symbols, cycles, mind maps, memory, and meaning. It articulated something that has quietly existed within Quantum MeMoir from the beginning:

Life does not always speak to us in complete sentences.

Sometimes it speaks through repetition.

A symbol appears in a dream and then on the cover of a book. A conversation echoes a question we have been privately carrying. A person arrives at the exact moment we have become ready to hear what they have to say. An old memory resurfaces alongside a new possibility, connecting two periods of life that once seemed unrelated.

The events themselves may be ordinary.

The meaning created between them is not.

This is the territory Jung called synchronicity, a meaningful coincidence in which two events may have no obvious causal relationship, yet become connected within the lived experience of the person observing them.

Quantum MeMoir approaches this territory with both curiosity and discernment.

It does not require us to believe that every song on the radio is a command from the universe. It also does not require us to dismiss every meaningful encounter as random noise.

Instead, it invites us to pause long enough to notice when life begins to rhyme.

Meaning Is Not Located in the Event Alone

A coincidence becomes synchronistic not because it is statistically improbable, but because it touches something that is already active within us.

Imagine two people seeing the same image of an open door.

One person walks past without giving it another thought.

The other person has been contemplating whether to leave a job, begin a creative project, return to school, or step into an unfamiliar chapter of life. For that person, the door seems to glow with invitation.

The image has not objectively changed.

The relationship between the image and the observer has.

This distinction is central to Quantum MeMoir theory. We do not experience life as neutral collectors of facts. We participate in the creation of meaning through what we notice, remember, associate, question, and connect.

We are always gathering fragments:

• A feeling

• A word

• A drawing

• A dream

• A conversation

• A recurring problem

• A phrase someone said years ago

• A symbol we cannot stop thinking about

At first, these fragments may resemble stars scattered across a night sky. Each one appears distant from the others. Yet when we begin connecting them, a constellation emerges.

The constellation does not erase the individual stars. It reveals a relationship between them. A Quantum MeMoir is created in much the same way.

It is not merely a record of what happened. It is the gradual recognition of how separate experiences belong to a larger pattern of becoming.

Why Synchronicity Appears at Turning Points

According to the video, Meaningful Coincidences seem to become more visible during periods of transition.

• A familiar identity is weakening.

• A relationship is changing.

• A career no longer contains the same energy.

• A home is being left behind.

• A new role is forming, but has not yet become stable.

The old chapter has ended internally, even if its external structures are still standing. The new chapter can be sensed, but not yet clearly described.

The video suggested Carl Jung used the image of a “Night Sea Journey” to describe this psychological condition. The old shore has disappeared behind us, but the new shore has not yet become visible.

Quantum MeMoir recognizes this as an interval.

An interval is not empty time. It is a sphere of reorientation. It is liminal.

During stable periods, much of our attention is directed toward maintaining what already exists. We follow routines, fulfill roles, meet expectations, and repeat familiar interpretations.

During transitions, those structures loosen. Questions begin entering through the openings. And questions always attract answers…

• Who am I without this role?

• What is trying to end?

• What is asking to begin?

• What do I know now that I could not have known before?

• What wants to move through me next?

When the established narrative no longer holds, we become more receptive to information that might help us form a new one. Books, symbols, encounters, memories, and dreams appear to gather around the questions occupying our attention.

This does not necessarily mean that more unusual events are occurring.

It may mean we have become more available to notice them.

Our lives are continually presenting information. A turning point in life changes the frequency to which we are listening.

The Unconscious Speaks in Images

Evidently, the conscious mind prefers orderly explanations.

It wants conclusions, categories, instructions, and evidence. It wants to know what something means and what should be done about it.

The unconscious often communicates differently.

It speaks through images, sensations, dreams, metaphors, emotional reactions, stories, and recurring symbols. It may present an eye, a key, a tree, a spiral, a seed, a bridge, a dragon, a house, or an open door long before we understand why that image matters.

This is one reason art is inseparable from the Quantum MeMoir method.

A doodle is not merely decoration. A symbol can hold information that has not yet become language.

When we draw before we explain, we give an emerging idea somewhere to exist before it has been fully interpreted. The imagination may recognize a pattern before the rational mind knows how to describe it.

This is the deeper purpose behind Draw & Tell.

First, draw what appears.

Then, allow it to tell.

The telling may happen through words, associations, memories, questions, or another image. It may happen immediately, but often it unfolds gradually.

The meaning was not necessarily hidden in the symbol as a universal answer.

It developed through our relationship with it.

A symbol may enter one mind map and return several months later in another. A shape drawn during a period of confusion may acquire new meaning after a decision has been made. A seed may later reveal itself as the beginning of a cycle. A door may come to represent the threshold we were afraid to cross.

Observe Is an Active Practice

The video suggested, some people seem to experience synchronicity everywhere. Others rarely notice it at all.

This does not necessarily mean that one life contains more meaning than another. It may reflect a difference in attention.

The Observe Sphere of the Quantum MeMoir Base Code asks us to study Self, Other, Experience, Nature and Society. Observation is not passive looking. It is the intentional practice of noticing what is present, what repeats, what changes, and what creates a response within us.

Attention determines which information enters the story.

When we are focused only on function, we may see a book, a stranger, a dream, and a conversation as four unrelated events.

When we become attentive to pattern, we may notice that all four contain a relationship.

The Quantum MeMoir practice is not to immediately declare that the pattern is a message sent from the Universal Field. It is to become curious about why this particular pattern has become visible now.

• What am I currently contemplating?

• What emotion accompanies this symbol?

• What part of my life does it seem to touch?

• Has it appeared during another important cycle?

Observation gives synchronicity somewhere to land. Without observation, the moment passes. Without reflection, it remains an isolated event. Without discernment, it can become superstition.

The Quantum MeMoir practice incorporates all three.

The Base Code of a Meaningful Coincidence

A synchronistic experience can move through the entire Base Code.

This final sphere is essential. Not every coincidence requires action. Not every repeated image is an instruction. Not every strong feeling is evidence that our interpretation is correct.

Refinement allows us to remain open without becoming ungrounded. We can honor the experience while continuing to question the meaning we assign to it.

This is how synchronicity can support sovereignty. A meaningful coincidence should not make our decisions for us. It can help illuminate what is already asking for our attention.

For this first seven-day cycle, I choose the role of Manager as Day 1.

Not because I want to control life, but because I have begun to recognize something that has quietly followed me throughout my life. I naturally organize. I edit. I direct. I see disconnected pieces and instinctively begin arranging them until they form something meaningful.

• Creative Director

• Production Manager

• Marketing Manager

• Web Designer

• Stage Manager

• Project Manager

• Editor

These titles have appeared in different forms throughout my life, but underneath them all is the same capacity: I love bringing the pieces together.

Where others see scattered fragments in their life, I see a puzzle waiting to become a picture.

For many years, this ability felt like a burden. I often became the one carrying responsibility, solving problems, organizing chaos, or holding everyone else’s moving parts together. I accepted every challenge as my own endeavor…

I confused my gift with obligation.

This Lunar Cycle is an invitation to change that story. Instead of resenting this instinct, I want to understand it. Instead of carrying it unconsciously, I want to wield it intentionally. Instead of managing everyone else’s production, I want to become the thoughtful manager of my own.

The next twenty-eight days are an exploration of The Stage.

Not one stage. Many stages.

• The stage of the natural world, where seasons, cycles, and ecosystems continually perform their quiet choreography.

• The stage of capitalism, where work, money, productivity, and value influence the roles we inhabit.

• The stage of womanhood, where culture, biology, relationships, and identity intersect in ever-changing ways.

• The stage of social media, where performance and authenticity often compete for the spotlight.

• The stages of friendship, family, marriage, and strangers, each inviting a different version of ourselves to emerge.

And perhaps the most intricate stage of all...

My Inner World.

The place where thoughts rehearse, emotions improvise, memories preserve old scripts, and imagination writes new scenes.

This journey is not about finding a single purpose.

It is about learning how purpose is managed in my actual life.

Like a great stage manager, I want to understand timing.

• Transitions.

• Lighting.

• Perspective.

• The movement of people.

• The movement of ideas.

The rhythm of beginnings, endings, entrances, and exits.

If life is a theater, then awareness becomes the director, values become the script, habits become rehearsals, relationships become the cast, and purpose becomes the story unfolding through every act.

Over the next seven days, I will explore what it means to become the conscious manager of my own experience. Not controlling every scene. But learning to steward my attention, my energy, and my gifts with greater intention.

The Ground Sphere is day 2 of my 7 Day Purpose of Manager… the Stage Manager of my life. It teaches me that life is not built from isolated moments. It is built from continuity.

A single conversation is interesting. A hundred conversations become a pattern.

This is why I hold the Ground Sphere with such gratitude. It is not about rushing toward the next thing. It is about noticing what repeats, what deepens, and what quietly becomes part of the structure of my life. Continuity is how I learn what is real.

Continuity transforms information into identity.

Each moment becomes another layer of evidence. We pause. We question. We disagree. We Compromise. We laugh. We recognize ourselves in different situations, but the same pattern. Over time, these conversations create something larger than the experience itself. They become a living archive of how we learn to trust our own voices.

Ground is where patterns become visible.

When I reflect on scattered experiences, they can feel random. But when I remain present long enough to relate with an idea, and to appreciate it from different angles, hidden geometry begins to emerge. The same lessons echo through different circumstances until I can no longer dismiss them as coincidence.

That is continuity. It is the bridge between experience and truth.

As the stage manager of my life, I need continuity because it helps me keep the production moving with intention. It reminds me that the work is not only in the dramatic moments, but in the steady repetition of what matters. The cues, the timing, the rhythm, the return to center… these are what make the whole experience possible.

Ground also prepares me for the next sphere in the cycle.

The final sphere of this entire 28-Day Lunar Cycle.

There is something beautifully symbolic about ending here because refinement isn’t about becoming someone new. It is about carefully removing what obscures the lesson until the wisdom underneath finally becomes visible.

This week I believed I was refining an idea… The Cosmic Game.

I thought the lesson was about surrendering expectations.

By the end of today’s reflection, I realized it was much more specific than that.

The oracle card I drew was Boundaries.

At first I assumed it was talking about other people crossing my boundaries. That seemed obvious after spending the weekend out in public, navigating crowds, different lifestyles, different priorities, and the constant friction I sometimes feel between the world I wish existed and the world that actually does.

But as I continued talking, something unexpected happened.

The boundary wasn’t between me and other people.

The boundary was between what belongs to me and what belongs to reality.

I realized how often I carry expectations for how people should behave.

• How they should treat public spaces.

• How they should respect one another.

• How they should care for themselves.

• How they should move through the world.

Even writing those sentences makes me uncomfortable because they sound judgmental.

For years I’ve softened that truth because I didn’t want to sound arrogant.

I didn’t want anyone hearing, “She thinks she’s better than everyone else.”

There is a piece of me that has wrestled with exactly that guilt.

But today’s refinement showed me something more honest.

The real issue isn’t whether I think I’m “better.”

The real question is whether I have developed certain values that I hold very deeply, and whether I quietly expect everyone else to live by those same values.

Those are two entirely different questions.

My values lean toward an evolving refinement.

Toward awareness. Toward stewardship. Toward respecting shared environments. Toward lifelong learning. Toward asking difficult questions. Toward taking responsibility for my own inner world.

When I encounter behavior that seems careless, unconscious, or dismissive of others, something inside me reacts almost instantly.

Because I care. Or because I am self protecting?

Then something even stranger happens…

After judging “them.”

Then I judge myself for judging others!

The cycle repeats.

What I discovered today is that the suffering isn’t coming from having ideals.

The suffering comes from expecting reality to organize itself around those ideals.

That expectation quietly crosses one of the most important boundaries in the Cosmic Game.

Inside my sphere are my choices.

Outside my sphere are millions of other human beings living according to their own level of consciousness, history, pain, priorities, and values.

The Cosmic Game isn’t asking me to stop caring… or to pretend that everything is acceptable. It certainly isn’t asking me to abandon discernment.

It is asking me to recognize where my influence ends.

I can participate. I cannot govern.

Perhaps that is what surrender expectations has meant all along.

Not surrendering my values. Surrendering my expectation that reality should mirror them.

That may be the final refinement of this lunar cycle. The lesson is to stop mistaking my ideals for universal laws. The Cosmic Game continues whether I approve of every move on the board or not.

My freedom isn’t found in controlling the game.

It is found in learning how to play my part with clarity, integrity, and enough humility to remember that I am one player among billions, watching the mystery unfold.

To aspire is not simply to want. It is to breathe toward.

It is to direct life force, attention, and inner movement toward something that calls us forward.

This makes aspiration more than a goal. A goal can be measured, checked off, completed, or revised. An aspiration is more alive than that. It holds breath, imagination, and becoming. It points toward what we are willing to grow into.

To know your Life Aspirations, or even your Year’s Aspirations, is to pause long enough to ask: What is asking for my attention? What possibility is trying to become more visible? What potential has been living quietly in the background of my life, work, relationships, creativity, or purpose?

And when life feels cluttered, uncertain, or full of competing possibilities, the map helps clarify what is important. It gives you a place to put everything down without needing to solve it all at once. This matters because clarity often comes after expression, not before. Many people wait to write until they know what they think. The 6 Moves invite the opposite: write it down so you can discover what you think.

In this way, aspiration becomes an act of attention. What you give attention to begins to take shape. What you name begins to organize. What you map begins to reveal its pattern. The 6 Moves Mind Map does not demand that every possibility become a plan. It simply gives each possibility enough space to be seen.

Choosing Six Focal Points

There is something strangely balanced about choosing six.

Not one grand Life Purpose. Not one perfect answer. Not one impossible declaration that has to explain who you are, why you are here, what you are meant to do, and how you are supposed to do it before breakfast.

Just six focal points… Pursuits that feel worthy of attention.

That is where the 6 Moves Mind Map becomes less about hustling to perform and more about relationship. You are not trying to prove that you know your life’s purpose. You are beginning a conversation with your own becoming.

When I look at aspirations this way, I feel the pressure soften. I do not have to know the whole road. I only have to notice what keeps asking for my attention. A career possibility. A creative project. A home rhythm. A body practice. A relationship pattern. A skill I want to develop. A way of living that feels more honest than the one I have been repeating.

The first gift of choosing six focal points is that it lets you see your life as a living field instead of a single finish line. We are multi-dimensional beings. We are layered. We are seasonal. We are full of contradictions, curiosities, longings, loyalties, fears, gifts, and hidden strengths.

A single goal often flattens us. Six focal points give us enough room to become visible.

At first, all six may seem equally important. That is part of the process. You write them down because each one has some kind of charge. Each one has a little electricity around it. Each one seems to whisper, “Look here.” But as you spend time with the map, something begins to shift. You start to notice that some potentials are louder in this season. Some are more urgent. Some are foundational. Some are supportive. Some are future seeds. Some are beautiful, but not for right now.

This is where the 6 Moves Mind Map begins to teach discernment.

One aspiration may reveal itself as the root system. It may not look exciting, but everything else depends on it. This is the Ground of the map. It may be your body, your home, your money, your nervous system, your schedule, or the simple need to feel steady enough to grow.

Another aspiration may carry the clearest direction. This is where Intend begins to speak. It may show you what you actually want, not what you inherited, not what you perform, not what makes sense to everyone else, but what your own life force keeps reaching toward.

Another may need more watching before action. This belongs to Observe. It teaches patience. It asks you to gather evidence, notice patterns, and stop rushing past the truth of your own experience.

Another may be deeply connected to other people. This is the field of Connect. It may show you that your aspiration is not only about what you want to do, but who you are becoming in relationship. Who supports this? Who drains it? Who helps you feel more like yourself?

Another may be asking to be expressed. It may want language, form, visibility, art, conversation, leadership, writing, teaching, or a brave declaration. This is Express. It asks what can no longer stay hidden.

And another may be ready to be refined. Not abandoned. Not judged. Refined. This is where the map helps you make the aspiration cleaner, clearer, and more livable. It asks what can be simplified, released, named, edited, or brought into better alignment.

This is how six focal points begin to relate to one another. They are not separate potentials. They become a constellation. One supports another. One shows you the story you keep telling yourself about why you cannot move forward. And that story matters.

Because many of our perceived challenges are not only obstacles. They are invitations into deeper self-knowledge. The thing that blocks us often guards the next threshold. The fear, the confusion, the resistance, the “I do not know how,” the “I am not ready,” the “Who am I to want this?” These are not signs that the aspiration is wrong. They are often the exact places where the inner work begins.

This is why the 6 Moves Mind Map is here to help you listen more honestly.

The pathway to individuation is not usually found by performing the most impressive version of yourself. It is found by meeting the parts of yourself that have been scattered, silenced, overworked, misunderstood, or waiting for permission. Individuation asks you to become more whole. Not more perfect. More whole.

Aspirations help with this because they reveal what you are in relationship with. You begin to see what genuinely interests you. You begin to see what drains you. You notice what lights up your mind, what softens your body, what makes you curious, what makes you defensive, what makes you feel capable, and what makes you want to disappear. All of this is information. All of it informs the map.

After a 6 Moves Mind Map session, you may walk away with more than six ideas. You may walk away with a clearer sense of your own pattern. You may realize that the aspiration you thought was most important is actually supported by another one. You may realize that a career goal depends on a personal boundary. You may realize that a creative project needs a stronger routine. You may realize that your next big move is not bigger effort, but better alignment.

This is the real gain.

You have not simply made a list. You have begun to understand how your own life speaks.

From here, the six potentials become places to explore. You do not have to force all of them into action at once. You can sit with them. You can notice which one has energy this week. You can ask which one needs support. You can choose one to develop into objectives or milestones. You can let another remain as a future seed. You can return to the map when life changes and see what still feels true.

The purpose is not to trap yourself in a plan. The purpose is to create a living relationship with your aspirations.

This kind of mapping gives you permission to narrow your focus without shrinking your life. You are allowed to choose what matters now. You are allowed to let some potentials wait. You are allowed to discover that one aspiration is actually the doorway into another. You are allowed to change as you learn more about yourself.

And maybe, for the first time in a long time, enough space to hear yourself breathe toward what wants to become.

P.S. Why “6 Moves”?

The name 6 Moves was created in honor of R. Buckminster Fuller, whose work invited people to think beyond fixed categories and see life as pattern, movement, function, and possibility. Fuller was a designer, inventor, systems thinker, and futurist whose ideas often explored how individual parts participate in a larger whole. He popularized concepts such as synergetics, Dymaxion, and Spaceship Earth.

This mind map carries that same spirit. It is not asking you to force one perfect answer. It is asking you to notice how one idea gives way to the next, how separate desires begin to form a pattern, and how your needs, goals, challenges, and possibilities can be brought into relationship.

The six focal points are “moves” because they are not static goals. They are living directions. They help you reach beyond the obvious answer and begin to see the pattern of integrity forming underneath your aspirations. This is why the original 6 Moves note page includes Fuller’s words:

“there is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it’s going to be a butterfly”

For nearly a decade, I have been developing Quantum MeMoir.

The Intend Sphere offered a single word:

MYstery.

Yes... I intentionally play with words.

Sometimes they reveal ideas before I fully understand them.

As I moved through my morning... coffee, chores, lunch... a familiar pattern quietly stepped into view.

Timing.

Procrastination.

Not finishing.

For years, I’ve judged myself for the number of unfinished projects scattered throughout my life.

• A theory

• An oracle deck

• A painting

• A sketch

• A mind map

• A relationship

A New Habit…

Something would call to me with incredible energy. I’d begin. I’d pour myself into it.

Then...

I’d drift.

For a long time, I interpreted that drift as failure.

As inconsistency.

As proof that I lacked discipline.

But standing here, nearly a decade later, I can finally see something I couldn’t see from inside the moment.

Those works weren’t abandoned.

They were becoming…

Each one was waiting for another raw element to appear.

Another experience.

Another conversation.

Another heartbreak.

Another insight.

Another cycle.

I return to them.

The activity of creating never really stopped.

It simply continued within me…

The sketches became philosophy.

The philosophy became conversations.

The conversations became new artwork.

The artwork became Mind Maps.

The Mind Maps became a way of seeing.

And somehow...

everything kept feeding everything else.

That realization has changed the way I think about completion.

Perhaps nothing meaningful is ever truly finished.

Maybe… it simply reaches the next version of itself.

As human beings, we experience reality through beautifully limited senses.

Compared to the vastness of existence... all of space, all of time, every possible path that could unfold...

We perceive only the smallest sliver of what is available.

There are infinite possibilities surrounding every moment.

How could I possibly [k]NOW…

Which unfinished sketch is actually waiting for its perfect season?

Which half-developed idea will become the cornerstone of a new Mind Map?

Which Mind Map drawing will suddenly make sense ten years from now?

I can’t.

That’s the MYstery.

I’ve spent enough years worrying about whether something was good or bad.

Right or wrong.

Complete or abandoned.

I’m learning to care less about those judgments.

Because every cycle teaches me the same lesson.

Nothing is wasted.

Every page.

Every drawing.

Every abandoned idea.

Every notebook.

Every failed experiment.

Every unexpected conversation.

Every quiet observation.

They all become raw materials for whatever comes next.

Maybe that’s what magic has always meant to me.

Not controlling the outcome.

Not predicting the future.

But participating so fully in the mystery of life that ordinary moments quietly transform into something I never could have planned.

So here’s to the mystery…

Over the years I’ve learned that I understand life by drawing it out on paper.

Every week I use a combination of different note pages within my Quantum MeMoir framework. Some pages are designed around the Universal Time Cycle Mind Map. Others follow the Hero’s Journey. Some help me observe my wellness, through the Pathways to CALM, while others simply become a place to think out loud.

I originally created these pages for myself.

Living with autoimmune sensitivities has taught me that my body is constantly giving me information. Stress, sleep, weather, food, movement, emotions... they all seem to have a conversation with one another.

Rather than trying to remember everything, I let the pages remember for me.

As patterns begin to emerge, I create new pages that help me explore them even further.

Eventually those pages become templates that I share with others because while our stories are unique, I believe many of the questions we ask are universal.

This page becomes my weekly summary.

At the top are my Personal Agreements.

They’re commitments I’m making to myself for this seven-day quest.

This week my agreement is simple:

Yoga + Water to start the day.

Sometimes the smallest agreements create the biggest shifts.

Below that, I review the entire week through several areas of wellness.

Instead of asking whether the week was “good” or “bad,” I’m asking a different question...

What are the Results?

Because life leaves clues…

The goal isn’t perfection.

The goal is self-awareness.

This page is where most of the observations are recorded.

I track my consumption…

+My behavior.

With little notes that might seem insignificant at the time.

You’ll notice I even wrote:

“Hot & Humid. Heat Advisory.”

That isn’t random.

Weather changes my energy…

It changes my mood.

It changes my motivation.

So it belongs in the story.

As someone with autoimmune sensitivities, I’ve learned that stress doesn’t always come from my thoughts.

Sometimes it’s environmental.

Sometimes it’s physical.

Sometimes it’s nutritional.

Sometimes it’s simply cumulative.

The Daily Log becomes the place where I gather information before I know whether it’s important.

The patterns are revealed later… in the Results…

You’ll probably notice little codes scattered across all of my pages.

This is my shorthand.

The letter tells me the day of the week.

As I’ve been exploring the idea of Inner Dialogue, I kept finding myself asking...

Who’s talking?

Many psychological models describe different personas.

• The Critic.

• The Performer.

• The Child.

Those frameworks have been incredibly helpful!

I created an entire Inner Dialogue Mind Map exercise to explore them further…

But this morning another question quietly arrived.

What if, instead of asking which persona is speaking, I asked...

Which version of myself is speaking?

• Past Me.

• Now Me.

• Future Me.

So I flipped to my This & That Blank Note PAGE…

I sketched out three columns.

Future.
Now.
Past.

Nothing polished.

Just enough structure to begin paying attention.

The question isn’t, Who’s right?

It’s...

Who’s asking?

And...

Who’s this decision really for?

Because my Now Self might want an afternoon cup of coffee.

My Past Self might simply be repeating an old habit.

But my Future Self is the one who will experience the RESULTS…

Let’s be real… I’m not trying to prevent suffering…

Discomfort, uncertainty, and challenge are part of being human.

What I am cultivating is awareness.

I want to understand the relationship between my choices and my experiences well enough that I can consciously choose whether I want to walk that path.

Sometimes the risk is worth it.

Sometimes the coffee is worth it.

Sometimes staying up extra late is worth it.

But I want those to become conscious choices instead of unconscious habits…. or conditioned responses…

I have big aspirations for my life!

Books I want to compose...

Ideas I want to explore…

People I want to serve....

And my body is the vehicle that carries all of those dreams!

The healthier I understand that relationship between my mind, body, and choices, the more fully I can show up for the life I’m living.

That’s really what Quantum MeMoir has become.

It’s a framework for exploring consciousness through lived experience.

Every page starts as an experiment.

Some become templates.

Some remain wonderfully imperfect Graphic Note Pages...

Not my mood. The actual weather outside.

Its cloudy and rainy again… My High Pressure Front disappeared…

I’ve always noticed that cloudy, rainy days affect me differently than bright, dry ones. When the sky grows heavy with clouds, something inside me seems to loosen.

Memories rise.

Shadow material surfaces.

My UNconscious becomes louder.

It’s as if the rain outside gives permission for something inside to finally be flushed out...

Sunny, dry days feel different. My mind clears. I become grounded, productive, and emotionally spacious.

Ironically, my husband experiences almost the opposite. The hot, dry weather that energizes me can leave him irritable and stationary.

That realization made me pause…. and EXPLORE more…

Today… for my Express Sphere… I am the Explorer of the Inner Dialogue… The Psyche… as my personal Low & High Pressure Fronts… seem to hold the data…

The same weather doesn’t create the same inner climate in everyone.

The outer atmosphere and the inner atmosphere are related, but they are not identical.

Then another thought arrived.

Maybe I’m actually living inside two weather systems at once!

Earthly Weather

The weather outside.

• Clouds.

• Rain.

• Humidity.

• Heat.

• Sunshine.

• Winter

• Summer

My body responds to it whether I intend it to or not. My nervous system, hormones, energy, and senses all seem to notice before my mind does.

Psychic Weather

The weather inside.

• Vulnerability

• Sadness

• Reflection

• Fatigue

• Openness

• Joy

This one appears to have nothing to do with the outside forecast.

It changes because of conversations, memories, disappointments, victories, rejection, inspiration, grief, beauty, or love.

Sometimes one sentence can create an emotional thunderstorm…. that I have to slow down and wait for it to pass…

Sometimes a single act of kindness clears the clouds… and my inner birdsong begins to sing again…

This inner weather patterns are not always controlled by the Earthly Atmosphere. It’s shaped by the dialogue within.

Today I wanted to know… which one of these Personas brought my inner clouds?

Recently I’ve been mapping the Inner Dialogue through six personas.

• The Protector - Grounds Fear

• The Performer - Intends Acceptance

• The Advocate - Observes Intuition

• The Inner Child - Connects belonging

• The Critic - Expresses Honesty

• The Rescuer/Restorer - Refines Love

Around them all is what I call the Whole Self.

Not another persona.

The AtmoSPHERE of Me.

The sky that contains every weather pattern without becoming any one of them.

What I’m beginning to notice is that these personas don’t simply speak.

They create inner weather…. high or low pressures… attitudes…

• Sometimes the Protector gathers storm clouds.

• Sometimes the Critic builds a heavy dome of pressure where nothing feels like enough.

• Sometimes the Inner Child calls in gentle rain that washes old grief to the surface.

Sometimes they gang up and create tornadoes and hurricanes!

Left unchecked, each Persona has the ability to influence the atmosphere of my inner world.

But here’s the insight that surprised me most.

The weather outside may influence my inner atmosphere...

...and my inner atmosphere influences how I move through the outer world… no matter the weather.

The direction isn’t always one-way.

Sometimes I wake up already carrying clouds.

Sometimes the clouds arrive after an unexpected conversation.

Sometimes the sunshine outside helps me notice the sunshine within.

Sometimes no amount of blue sky can quiet an internal storm.

I’ve spent much of my life trying to master my emotions as though every “Low Pressure Front” meant something was wrong with me.

Now I’m wondering if weather is simply information.

Meteorologists don’t get angry at rain.

They observe it.

Pilots don’t judge turbulence.

They navigate it.

Inner & Outer Atmospheric Pressure Barometer:

The Weight Upon You.

Low Pressure: Less weight overhead allows air to rise, the unconscious material comes up.

Steady Pressure: Centered & Adaptable.

High Pressure: More weight overhead pushing down, becoming more rigid and driven.

Self-understanding seems to be less about changing the forecast and more about learning to read it and dress appropriately…

Maybe every day begins with two questions.

• What’s the weather outside?

  • Helps me understand my body.

• What’s the weather within?

  • Helps me understand my psyche.

Both deserve my curiosity. Neither deserves my judgment.

So as it turns out... I don’t think any one Persona created my weather today.

Sometimes the Earthly Weather changes my inner atmosphere.

Sometimes my Personas create storms all on their own…

In conclusion… Maybe the better question isn’t,

“Which Persona created this weather?”

but...

“How do I care for myself in today’s forecast?”

Some days that means an umbrella.

Some days it means opening the windows.

Some days it means wrapping myself in a warm cup of love, and listening to the rain on the rooftop while I MeMoir...

One last question followed me after composing this.

I tend to thrive in high-pressure weather.

At least, I think I do?!

But do I actually feel healthier...

or simply more useful?

Have I mistaken productivity for peace?

Or perhaps...

have I become so accustomed to high pressure that sunshine feels like success?

That rabbit hole is waiting for another rainy day.

Who, exactly, is living inside of me?

• Not my body.

• Not my personality.

• Not even the version of myself that answers to my name.

I mean… the deeper me. The hidden me.

The one beneath the habits, the fears, the cravings, the comforts, and the stories I tell about who I think I am.

Jung called it the psyche.

Not the mind. Not the brain.

The psyche.

As a living landscape.

A world unto itself.

For years, I believed self-discovery was about becoming a better person.

• Fixing flaws.

• Healing wounds.

• Learning lessons.

• Leveling up.

Yet every time I arrive at a destination, another horizon appears.

• Another layer.

• Another mystery.

• Another dragon.

Today… via the psyche… Jung offered me a different possibility.

What if I am here to meet myself?

Not just the conscious self…

The hidden inhabitants as well.

• The fearful one.

• The wounded one.

• The wise one.

• The child.

• The exile.

• The seeker.

• The creator.

The witch who lives at the edge of town.

The observer who quietly watches it all unfold.

Jung spent years recording conversations with figures who emerged from his unconscious. He did not dismiss them as nonsense. He listened.

Because he discovered something astonishing:

The ego is not the only intelligence within us.

That thought has been following me...

How much of my life has been shaped by voices I have never taken the time to meet?

• The voice that reaches for comfort.

• The voice that seeks beauty.

• The voice that fears rejection.

• The voice that sings when nobody is listening.

The voice that knows… Not facts.

It knows truths.

The kind of inner dialogue that arrives without explanation.

The kind of thoughts that feel remembered rather than learned.

This morning I pulled an oracle card.

Confidence.

At first, I assumed confidence meant courage. Certainty. Boldness.

But now I wonder if confidence is something else entirely.

Perhaps confidence is the willingness to walk into the unknown landscape of your own soul and trust that what you find there belongs.

Even the parts that frighten you…

Even the parts that confuse you…

Even the parts that seem strange…

Especially those parts.

The card was BLACK.

And suddenly I saw it differently.

We often think of black as the absence of light.

Yet in many ways black contains everything.

• A cosmic womb.

• A fertile void.

• The night sky from which stars emerge.

• The rich soil where seeds wait patiently beneath the surface.

• The deep unconscious from which dreams arise.

Not absence.

The container for Presence.

Black is… All colors gathered together.

All possibilities waiting to become visible.

Perhaps my psyche is not a problem to solve.

Perhaps it is a universe!

And perhaps confidence is not standing in the light.

Perhaps confidence is trusting myself enough to walk into the darkness carrying only curiosity.

So today I begin… Not as a woman seeking perfection.

But as an explorer… Notebook in hand.

Lantern lit.

Stepping quietly into the forest of my own consciousness.

Listening for whoever wishes to speak.

What if each card was a symbol, direction, and a tiny doorway into meaning?

The Draw & Tell Flash Cards are not meant to tell someone what to think. They are meant to help someone draw out what is already moving beneath the surface.

The word “draw” holds both meanings here. To draw is to sketch, mark, and make visible. But to draw is also to pull, attract, gather, or bring something forward. And “tell” holds its own double meaning. To tell is to speak, reveal, narrate, or make known. It also carries the old feeling of fortune telling, not as prediction, but as pattern recognition.

The Draw & Tell Mind Map holds the symbols. The graphic note page holds the seed words. The flash cards hold the invitation to find your center. Together, they form a visual language for reflection.

Each sphere in the Draw & Tell Mind Map carries a seed word. Each seed word has a root meaning. Each symbol gives the mind something to look at before it tries to explain. This is important because sometimes we do not know what we think until we can see it outside of ourselves.

The Draw & Tell Mind Map works in two layers: the 7 Inner Spheres and the 6 Outer Spheres.

The inner spheres are the base pattern. They hold the center of the inquiry. The outer spheres show movement, growth, timing, and transformation. One layer helps us understand what is present. The other helps us see what is becoming.

Together, they create another piece of the overall Quantum MeMoir Mind Map: a symbolic spread for turning reflection into visible meaning.

Draw & Tell Flash Cards

Draw the Card. Tell the Story.

The 7 Inner Spheres

The 7 Inner Spheres are the foundation of the Draw & Tell map. These are the spheres that help define the core message, the inner structure, and the way the meaning wants to move through the person using the cards.

They are not random words. They are functional positions.

Each one asks a different kind of question.

Purpose

Etymology: Aim, Goal, To Put Forth, Proper Function for Which Something Exists.

Purpose sits at the center of the map because it holds the aim of the whole spread. In the Draw & Tell symbol set, Purpose is represented by the target and arrow. The target gives the eye a point of focus. The arrow shows direction, movement, and focus.

Purpose does not have to be a polished mission statement. It may begin as a question, a curiosity, or a quiet knowing. In the flash card deck, Purpose helps the reader ask: What is this really about? What is the central message trying to come forward?

As a symbol, the target reminds us that meaning gathers around a center. The arrow reminds us that once something is seen clearly, energy begins to move toward it.

Purpose is the point from which the rest of the map can be read.

Ground

Etymology: Bottom, Foundation, Deep Place.

Ground is represented by the foot. It is the body’s first contact with the earth. It is where we stand before we reach, speak, act, or decide.

In the Draw & Tell deck, Ground asks what supports the story underneath the visible surface. What is foundational? What is steady? What must be remembered before anything else can grow?

The foot is a humble symbol, but it carries deep meaning. It reminds us that every insight must eventually touch the real world. A purpose that cannot find ground remains abstract. A dream without ground floats. A decision without ground wobbles.

Ground brings the energy back into the body, back into the present moment, back into the deep place where meaning can take root.

Intend

Etymology: Turn One’s Attention, Stretch Out, Extend.

Intend is represented by the pencil.

This symbol brings intention into the hand. Before a drawing becomes visible, the pencil must be directed. It stretches the inner idea outward through line, pressure, movement, and mark-making. In this way, intention is not only something we think about. It is something we begin to aim, shape, and trace.

In the Draw & Tell deck, Intend asks: Where is my attention going? What am I extending myself toward? What line am I ready to follow?

The pencil reminds us that intention becomes clearer when it is given a place to land. A thought may feel abstract inside the mind, but once the pencil touches the page, the direction begins to appear.

Intend is the sphere that turns attention into aim.

Observe

Etymology: To Keep, Follow, Attend To, Watch Over, To Protect.

Observe is represented by the magnifying glass.

At first glance, this symbol means to look closely. But the root meaning of observe adds another layer: to keep, follow, attend to, watch over, and protect. This makes observation more than passive seeing. It becomes a form of care.

In the Draw & Tell Mind Map, Observe asks: What do I need to notice? What detail matters? What is asking for my attention?

The magnifying glass symbolizes curiosity, evidence, and close study. It slows the mind down long enough to see what might otherwise be missed.

Observation protects the process because it keeps us from rushing into conclusions. It helps us watch over the truth as it emerges.

Connect

Etymology: To Bind, Join, Or Fasten Together.

Connect is represented by the envelope with a heart.

This image holds relationship, message, exchange, and meaning. An envelope carries something from one place to another. The heart suggests that what is carried matters. It may be a message to another person, a message from the self, or a message from the pattern itself.

In the flash card deck, Connect asks: What wants to be shared? What needs to be received? What parts of the story belong together?

The root meaning, to bind, join, or fasten together, makes Connect one of the most important spheres in the map. It shows how isolated pieces begin to form relationship.

A symbol alone is interesting. A symbol in relationship becomes meaning.

Express

Etymology: Put Into Words, Clearly Made Known, To Press Out.

Express is represented by the light bulb.

The light bulb holds the moment when something becomes known. It is the spark of expression, the inner idea illuminated enough to be shared, spoken, written, drawn, or revealed. To express is to press something outward from the inner world into visible or understandable form.

In the Draw & Tell Mind Map, Express asks: What wants to be made known? What idea is lighting up? What truth is ready to come out?

The light bulb symbolizes clarity, revelation, and communication. It is not only the idea itself, but the moment the idea becomes bright enough to be seen by the self or shared with another.

Express is the sphere where inner meaning becomes visible.

Refine

Etymology: Make Fine, Reduce to A Pure State.

Refine is represented by the scissors.

Scissors cut, trim, edit, and clarify. They remove what is unnecessary so the essential form can be seen. In the Draw & Tell Mind Map, Refine asks: What can be simplified? What can be released? What is ready to become more precise?

The root meaning of refine points to purity, not perfection. It is not about making the map flawless. It is about reducing noise so the message can become clearer.

Refine is the sphere that helps the story become clean enough to understand.

The 6 Outer Spheres

The 6 Outer Spheres add movement to the map.

If the inner spheres help us identify the core thought pattern, the outer spheres show how that pattern grows, changes, and completes itself. These are the spheres of progression. They carry the feeling of seed, sprout, bud, bloom, fruit, and whole harvest.

They are another piece of the puzzle because they help the reader see where the story is in its cycle.

Initiate

Etymology: Begin, Set Going, An Entrance.

Initiate is represented by the opening seed.

This is the first doorway. The seed is not yet a plant, but it has already begun. Something inside has cracked open. Something has entered the process.

In the flash card deck, Initiate asks: What is beginning? What threshold am I crossing? What is ready to be set going?

The opening seed is a perfect symbol for this sphere because beginnings are often small, hidden, and easy to underestimate. But once the seed opens, the story has changed.

Initiate marks the entrance into a new pattern.

Activate

Etymology: Intensify, Put Into Action.

Activate is represented by the sprout.

If Initiate is the opening, Activate is the first visible movement. The sprout breaks through the soil and begins to rise. The idea is no longer only inside. It has started to move.

In the deck, Activate asks: What action brings this to life? What needs energy now? What is ready to intensify?

The sprout symbolizes life force, creativity, and the courage of early movement. It does not need to be fully grown to be real. It simply needs to keep moving toward the light.

Activate is where intention becomes motion.

Evaluate

Etymology: Action of Evaluate, To Find the Value.

Evaluate is represented by the budding branch.

The bud is a sign of potential. It is not yet the flower or the fruit, but it shows that growth is happening. This sphere asks us to look at the developing pattern and find the value inside it.

In the flash card deck, Evaluate asks: What is growing well? What needs adjustment? What is worth continuing?

Elevate

Etymology: To Raise Above the Usual Position, Lighten.

Elevate is represented by the flower in bloom.

This is the moment when something lifts into beauty, visibility, or fuller expression. The bloom does not hide the work of the seed, root, sprout, and bud. It reveals it.

In the Draw & Tell deck, Elevate asks: What is ready to bloom? What can be raised into fuller view? What wants to become lighter, clearer, or more visible?

The flower symbolizes expression at a higher octave. It is the beauty of becoming seen.

Elevate reminds us that growth is not only about productivity. It is also about beauty, openness, and the courage to be witnessed.

Accelerate

Etymology: Make Quicker, Become Faster.

Accelerate is represented by the fruiting branch.

Once the bloom has done its work, energy begins to gather into fruit. The process quickens. The story starts to develop weight, sweetness, and consequence.

In the flash card deck, Accelerate asks: Where is momentum building? What is ripening? What wants to move forward with more inertia?

The fruiting branch symbolizes development that has moved beyond the idea stage. Something is forming. Something can be harvested soon.

Accelerate is the sphere of wise momentum. It asks us to notice where the energy is naturally increasing.

Integrate

Etymology: Bring Together The Parts, To Render Something Whole.

Integrate is represented by the apple cross-section.

The apple cut open reveals the pattern inside. What looked whole from the outside becomes even more meaningful when we see its inner structure. Seeds, symmetry, nourishment, and completion are all held in one image.

In the Draw & Tell deck, Integrate asks: How does it all fit together? What wisdom has been gathered? What parts are ready to become whole?

Integration is not just the end of the cycle. It is the moment when the map becomes memoir. The scattered pieces become a message. The symbols become a story. The drawing becomes something the self can carry forward.

Integrate shows us that completion is not the closing of meaning. It is the gathering of meaning into a usable form.

The Mind Map as an Exercise

No matter how much “better” I become, there always seems to be another level.

Another layer.

Another thing to learn.

Another dragon to slay.

Another promise to myself.

The road is always winding…

Consumption is at the root of this pondering.

I used to survive off sugar. Mountain Dew. Candy. Emotional support Latte’s.

From a very young age… Sugar was my companion through grief, stress, celebration, boredom, and exhaustion.

And for the most part, I’ve changed.

However… lately, after some safety issues of the past year… I haven’t quite been able to shake loose from my relationship with sugar.

I keep declaring this experiment is over.

“Okay, we’re done with sugar now.”

And then somehow, there I am.

Ordering another chai latte.

Extra sweet.

And suddenly my mind whispers: “See? You haven’t changed.”

Who do you think you are …to inspire anyone towards wellness…”

But have I really failed?

By whose definition?

I drink about three ounces of coffee. (Self justification)

Maybe two tablespoons of sugar in a day. (I’ll cut back or stop when I’m ready)

Is that truly the consumption of an addict? (One cup leads to two)

It sure feels like it sometimes. (Because if I don’t get it… look out…)

However… perhaps the burden isn’t coming from the sugar.

Perhaps the burden comes from what I think about consuming sugar.

I watched a beautiful interview today with neuroscientist David Linden, who calls his approach to living with terminal cancer “The Way of the Nerd.”

His answer wasn’t to fight harder.

It was to understand.

To become curious.

To know thyself.

Not just through the outward senses, but through the inward ones too.

Because we don’t only have eyes and ears pointed toward the world.

We have inner senses.

Signals from the gut.

From the heart.

From the nervous system.

From places beneath consciousness.

We don’t just possess conscious systems.

We possess autonomic systems… or rather they possess us…

Systems that have been quietly keeping track… while we have been busy trying to self-improve ourselves into living well.

And maybe that’s the thing.

Perhaps my body… wise thing that it is, keeps reminding: “Pay Attention”

Which explains why so many of us become frustrated.

“I know better.”

“I’ve done the work.”

“I’ve read the books.”

“I’ve grow beyond that...”

And yet…

The old cravings remain.

The same sensitivities remain.

The same fears appear.

The same habits knock consistently at the door.

Maybe self-development isn’t the answer…

Maybe self-understanding is descending into ourselves.

Into the hidden conversations happening between mind and body.

Into the sympathetic and parasympathetic dance.

• Into grief.

• Into reward.

• Into expectation.

• Into placebo thoughts.

And most importantly… Into belief.

Self under-standing.

Standing beneath myself.

• Listening.

• Studying.

• Growing curious.

Not asking: “Why am I still like this?”

But asking: “What is this trying to tell me?”

What fascinated me most about the video wasn’t the discussion about sugar or GLP-1 drugs.

It was the realization that eating isn’t a single choice. It’s a hundred little choices guiding us...

• The smell.

• The memory.

• The expectation.

• The sight.

• The taste.

• The reward.

• The fullness.

• The satisfaction.

Or the absence of satisfaction.

According to neuroscientist David Linden, before the first bite… there is an ongoing conversation between the mind and the body.

And maybe that’s true for all consumption.

Not just food.

• Scrolling.

• Shopping.

• Coffee.

• Wine.

• Busyness.

• People pleasing.

Even self-improvement itself.

Perhaps what we call compulsive behavior isn’t a lack of willpower.

Maybe it’s a conversation.

A dialogue between the outer senses and the inner senses.

The mind body systems do their thing…

And before I ever order that extra sweet chai latte, dozens of tiny decisions have already been happening beneath consciousness.

Signals are flowing upward from the body.

Signals are flowing downward from the brain.

The conscious “I” enters the scene late and proudly declares:

“I chose this.”

But maybe “i” wasn’t the only one voting.

Maybe my gut had a vote.

Maybe my memories had a vote.

Maybe exhaustion had a vote.

Maybe my body, still remembering unsafe seasons, had a vote.

And then I began wondering:

What if compulsions aren’t always cravings?

What if they’re communications?

Messages to understand.

If beliefs can kill, as in the strange phenomenon of “voodoo death,” then beliefs can also heal.

If expectation can release stress hormones powerful enough to shut the body down…

Then expectation can also release endorphins powerful enough to relieve pain and in David Linden’s case… keep cancer at bay...

The placebo effect isn’t fake.

It’s biology.

Which makes me wonder:

How much suffering in my life is coming from the thing itself?

And how much comes from what I believe about the thing?

Because maybe two tablespoons of sugar aren’t what’s weighing me down.

Maybe the shame …of knowing better …is.

Maybe the fear… of dementia …is.

Maybe the story is.

Maybe I hexed myself. Not with witchcraft.

But… With labels. With declarations.

“I’m addicted to sugar….”

“I have no discipline.”

“I should be further along.”

“I know better.”

And perhaps my nervous system, being the obedient creature that it is, simply responds: “As you wish.”

Maybe this is why “Know Thyself” feels incomplete.

Maybe the invitation isn’t merely to know thyself.

But to understand what stories thyself has come to believe.

And perhaps this is what I am slowly embodying inside my Ground Sphere of Self Under-Standing.

That thriving isn’t always found by controlling myself.

Sometimes it is found by becoming curious enough to ask:

“What am I believing?”

“What am I expecting?”

“Why do I keep telling this story?”

David Linden said something that touched me deeply.

He spoke about his approach “The Way of the Nerd.”

Not everyone wants to know all the details.

But for some of us, understanding is empowering…

For some of us, curiosity is medicine…. peace arrives not solely through acceptance, but through comprehension.

Perhaps that’s my way too.

The Way of the Nerd.

Simply understanding myself.

Again.

And again. And again…

“Know thyself,” they said.

A little over a year ago, I sat in front of a camera, popped my collar, teased my hair into something resembling Dolly Parton confidence, and tried to be brave.

I called it a Video Memoir.

At the time, I thought I was making a video about Aging Gracefully.

I thought I was talking about authentic, vulnerable… self-expression.

I thought I was sharing a journal system (Compass) I had spent years creating.

But recently I watched the video again…

And now I think it was about something else entirely.

It was about visibility.

For thirty-six minutes, I can see myself circling the same idea over and over.

I called it a bold move.

I called it a courageous action.

I called it expression.

What I was really talking about was being seen.

Not the curated version.

Not the polished version.

Not the version with a script and a marketing plan.

The actual me.

Authentic. Vulnerable. The rambling me.

The woman drinking homemade chai and talking about moon cycles, self-observation, mirrors, purpose, aging, and dreams.

The woman who repeatedly said she needed to stop judging the person she saw on the camera.

The woman who admitted she wanted people to get to know her.

Watching it now feels like opening a time capsule.

Because that woman had no idea what was coming next.

Soon after recording that video, I stepped back into the public.

After years of off grid living… studying, creating, healing, and largely residing in my own little world, I decided it was time to participate again.

I wanted to help.

I wanted to contribute.

I wanted to share what I had learned.

And then reality offered a curriculum.

The nonprofit organizations I hoped to support became a lesson in discernment.

The closer I looked, the more difficult it became to reconcile what was being said with what was being done.

Then, while attempting to share my art publicly, visibility introduced me to another teacher.

Fear.

Or more accurately, the fear that arrives after you’ve already been seen…

What followed was nearly a year of navigating the unwanted attention of a stalker.

A year of learning about boundaries.

A year of questioning whether visibility was worth the cost.

A year of learning that not everyone who notices you belongs in your life.

When I watch that video now, I see hints of all of it.

I hear myself talking about energy.

About feeling overwhelmed by the emotions and shadows of other people.

About needing to protect my energy.

About being unsure whether I had enough of myself to give to the world.

At the time, I didn’t fully understand why those themes kept appearing.

This is the Self-Understanding that eventually led me to create… the Gallup -CliftonStrengths Talents to Strengths Mind Map.

For years, I followed the breadcrumbs of self-development, designing frameworks, habits, assessments, journals, certifications, and systems. Some helped. Many helped others too. But somewhere along the way, I noticed something curious.

The more I tried to improve myself, the less time I spent living as myself.

Lately, my Earth Cycle has been inviting me into a different conversation.

My Purpose …Persona… leads me to explore who I am.

My Ground Sphere reminds me: Trust thy Self.

My Intend Sphere provides direction: Can I remain sovereign?

My Observe Sphere encourages me to Study Self, Other, and Society, not as separate things, but as interconnected expressions of the same field.

And today’s Connect Sphere theme is Quantum Me.

Not the isolated me.

Not the optimized me.

Not the idealized future me.

The whole ecosystem. The entire field of experience.

Quantum Me is less interested in fixing the parts and more interested in understanding how the parts belong together.

To go along with today’s “Quantum Me” Connect Sphere… is a Sacred Geometry Oracle reading… that seemed to echo the same lesson.

The card’s element was Silver.

In alchemical traditions, silver has long been associated with the Moon. The Moon governs reflection rather than projection. Receptivity rather than force.

Silver is not the blazing certainty of the Sun, the Gold of our hearts.

It is the softer light that gently helps reflect what was always there.

The Moon has also been symbolically linked to the mind and the subconscious, illuminating hidden patterns that operate beneath awareness.

Perhaps Self-Understanding begins there.

Not by blazing some new trail.

But by bringing consciousness to what already exists.

This realization has been quietly unfolding since early spring.

When my husband’s new company began using Gallup CliftonStrengths, curiosity got the better of me. I decided to take the assessment as well.

At first, I approached it like many people do.

What are my strengths?

What do they mean?

How can I use them more effectively?

But the longer I sat with the results, the more interested I became in the relationships between the talents themselves.

Not the individual domain themes.

I wanted to explore the entire eco-system of my talents merged with Ryan’s.

How one talent supports another. How one creates friction with another.

How certain gifts naturally amplify each other while others hold tension that leads to growth.

I found myself mapping the connections, sketching relationships, asking questions, noticing patterns.
